When ransomware, hardware failure or human error strikes, your backup and recovery infrastructure decides whether you're back in hours or out for weeks. Mavinz designs backup and disaster recovery infrastructure that protects your data, resists tampering and meets the recovery times your business actually needs.
We define recovery point and recovery time objectives with you, design backup architecture following the 3-2-1-1-0 principle, implement replication to secondary sites or the cloud, and coordinate recovery testing so you have evidence your plan works.
Why backup design matters more than ever
Attackers now target backups first. Immutable copies, isolated credentials and regular restore tests are essential, not optional.
Immutable, isolated backup copies
Recovery objectives agreed with the business
Replication to DR site or cloud
Tested, documented recovery procedures
Backup & DR services
Architecture and readiness for on-premises, hybrid and cloud workloads.
Backup architecture
Platform selection and design with Veeam, Commvault, Rubrik, Cohesity or native cloud tools.
Recovery infrastructure & replication
DR site, cloud DR and replication design aligned to RPO/RTO targets.
Recovery testing & resilience planning
Restore test coordination, DR runbooks and continuity alignment.
Typical deliverables:
- RPO/RTO definitions by system
- Backup and DR architecture design
- Implemented and verified configuration
- DR runbook and test report
How we deliver backup and DR infrastructure
- 01
Requirements
Workloads, growth, power, cooling, connectivity and compliance needs captured up front.
- 02
Design
Capacity, redundancy and layout options with trade-offs explained in plain language.
- 03
Coordinate & deploy
We coordinate vendors, site readiness, installation and acceptance testing.
- 04
Operate & optimise
Documentation, handover and optional ongoing operational support.
Serving clients in India and worldwide
We design backup and DR for organisations in India, the US, the UK and EU, the GCC and Australia, including DR sites in a different city or region and cloud DR in data-residency-compliant regions.
“Selecting a reliable data center provider with strong service and support capabilities is must. Based on our experience with multiple long-term engagements, we have received consistent and high-quality services from Mavinz. We strongly recommend Mavinz as a proven partner with a solid track record in uptime, security, and customer support.”
Backup & Disaster Recovery Infrastructure FAQs
Keep at least three copies of data, on two different media, with one copy off-site, one copy offline or immutable, and zero errors verified through restore testing.
Recovery Point Objective (RPO) is how much data you can afford to lose, measured in time. Recovery Time Objective (RTO) is how quickly a system must be restored. They drive backup frequency and DR design.
Cloud backup is valuable, but recovery speed, egress costs and ransomware resilience must be considered. Many organisations use a hybrid of local and cloud copies.
At least annually for full DR tests, with more frequent restore tests for critical systems. We help design a practical testing schedule.
